There are many photography composition rules which can be applied to CGI, as well.
Here are few of them:
Simplicity
When you look at a scene with your naked eye, your brain quickly picks out subjects of interest. But the camera doesn’t discriminate – it captures everything in front of it, which can lead to a cluttered, messy picture with no clear focal point. What you need to do is choose your subject, then select a focal length or camera viewpoint that makes it the centre of attention in the frame. You can’t always keep other objects out of the picture, so try to keep them in the background or make them part of the story. Silhouettes, textures and patterns are all devices that work quite well in simple compositions.

TUT - Getting Rid of Watermarks and Unwanted Patterns
Hi,
We all have faced the situations when we are texturing a scene and needing a pattern, symbol, logo or something, but all we can find on the web is watermarked!
So, how do you get rid of them?!
You can always use your photo editing tool such as Photoshop and clean it up by erasing, sampling or even re-painting! That’s a paint in the a##! :) Although sometimes we have to that :(, there are some easy ways to get the results, FAST!

Unearthly Challenge III - Sweet Track [UDK] - 2013
My entry for Unearthly Challenge III.
At first I wanted to create a hell-like environment for this challenge, BUT that was so boring, not so much challenging, and ...
So, I decided to change the whole perspective and try something more fun and unusual! at least for me! :)
STORY:
The main idea is a race game in a world made of different comestibles. This world consist of different regions and every region has its own theme/element. (e.g. Desserts Region, Drinks Region, Vegetables Region, etc.) Each region made of any sort of product or ingredients related to that regions element. (e.g. Drinks Region could have coffee/coffee powder/hot water/sugar/milk, etc.) To enter each region, the player must create a new vehicle suited for that region and must use that regions element(s). This is the "Sweet Track", one the tracks from Desserts Region, which mostly made of confectioneries.
Used software: 3DS Max, UVLayout, Photoshop, nDo, UDK
You can check the progress here at my Blog or at forums, 3DTotal.

UPDATE:
You can download the UDK package from HERE . Just leave a comment, if you did :) and don't forget to mention me in your work :))
